Immediate

If you're going to have a tooth removal, keep in mind that if you don't place an immediate implant right after tooth extraction, if you let it heal, then you've missed the time window, because there is no way to place an anatomical implant without drilling a hole and placing a screw-type implant.

The goal of an immediate dental implant is not only to restore the patient as quickly as possible, but also to avoid bone loss that occurs during the healing process - often in as little as six weeks. There is absolutely no reason for extraction socket preservation (ESP) which is widely performed after tooth extraction for future implant placement. Socket preservation is only needed because screw-type implants don't fit!
